Daisy's diagnosis
Daisy was one of fifteen dogs surrendered when a small township shelter shut down. Her bloodwork came back positive for late-stage heartworm. Treatment is a long, expensive course — but the prognosis is good if we start in the next month.

Jozi Paws is a small Johannesburg collective working with township shelters across Soweto and Orange Farm. The team focuses on medical cases shelters can't fund alone — heartworm, biliary, orthopaedic surgery — and pulls dogs into foster homes while they recover.
